Electorate urged to collect PVCs

Registered voters in Ogun State have been called upon to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs, even as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said only 59.1 percent of PVCs had so far been distributed in the state. The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria, IACN, Ogun State chapter, comprising registered political parties, also called on INEC to ensure that all eligible registered voters in the state dully obtain their PVCs within the stipulated time of March 8 deadline or, if need be, extend the collection period. In a statement in Abeokuta by Mr. Biola Martins, Chairman and Mr. Segun Adegbenro, Secretary of the registe-red parties, respectively, they condemned what they called shoddy arrangement by INEC in the distribution of PVCs and pleaded with the electoral body to put all necessary machinery in motion to ensure that PVCs collection exercise is done with ease and proper arrangement.
